Who We Are

CI-ISAC International is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to improving global cybersecurity through the principles of equality and trusted information sharing. Our mission is to empower sovereign nations by providing a federated data-sharing model that treats all countries as equal stakeholders. We believe that robust local cybersecurity frameworks are key to strengthening global cyber defences, fostering collaboration, and tackling emerging threats across sectors and borders.

History

CI-ISAC International was established in Australia to address the evolving complexity of global cyber threats. Initially, sector-specific ISACs were created to improve cybersecurity within individual industries. However, as cyber threats expanded across sectors, this siloed approach became ineffective, particularly in preventing supply chain vulnerabilities and responding to global risks.

In response, CI-ISAC was founded as the world’s first cross-sector integrated ISAC, designed to unify cybersecurity efforts across sectors and nations. This model, validated and proven in Australia, promotes a federated data-sharing approach, as proposed by the World Economic Forum (July 2019). It respects national sovereignty while fostering trust and collaboration among member states, enabling countries to better defend their critical infrastructure through a structured, cross-sector approach.

Our Achievements

Established Global Federated Data Sharing Model

CI-ISAC International has created and implemented a global federated data-sharing model, successfully proven in Australia. This cross-sector model enables countries to establish their own ISACs, offering an out-of-the-box solution for seamless implementation, while ensuring trusted and secure collaboration between nations.

Developed Training Programs

We have established training programs designed to uplift local cybersecurity capabilities, helping member states implement and manage their ISACs effectively.

Facilitated International Collaboration

Our federated data-sharing approach fosters trust and collaboration across nations, ensuring countries can share critical threat intelligence in a secure and transparent manner, enhancing global cybersecurity resilience.
