Dr Scott Flower

Co-Founder / CEO

Scott supported the establishment of CI-ISAC Australia in 2022 after serving as the Global Intelligence Officer for FS-ISAC (2019-2022), where he led the threat intelligence fusion cell for the global financial sector in Asia Pacific. With over a decade of experience in academia, Scott’s research focused on international security, psychology, and extremism. He also taught global criminology and field research methodology at the University of Melbourne and the University of Western Australia.

Earlier in his career, Scott worked as Lead Analyst at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) in the critical infrastructure protection directorate, where he was responsible for the banking, finance, oil, and gas sectors. He holds a PhD and a master’s in strategic studies from the Australian National University (ANU) and has published extensively in leading academic journals.

David Sandell

Co-Founder / Founder of CI-ISAC Australia

David Sandall is a security professional with two decades of experience in global organisations. He moved to Australia from the UK in 2019. He has led technical and non-technical teams, established new products and capabilities, and built one of the leading Threat Intelligence functions in the APAC region at National Australia Bank (NAB). David was pivotal in fostering intelligence sharing between the public and private sectors.

As co-founder of CI-ISAC Australia, David is committed to helping critical infrastructure entities bolster their cyber defences. He advises companies on Intelligence and Zero-Trust capabilities, making technical concepts universally understood. A passionate advocate for accessible intelligence capabilities, David holds certifications such as CISSP and CCSP and an MBA with Merit from the Open University (UK).

Greg Austin

International Advisor

Dr Greg Austin is a leading expert in international security with a 40-year career specialising in cybersecurity, China, Russia, and counter-terrorism. He has authored and co-authored numerous influential publications, including “Cybersecurity in China: The Next Wave” and “Great Power Offensive Cyber Operations.”

Greg has led consultancy research for the UK and Australian governments, worked with global leaders in government and business, and contributed to international organisations like the UN, NATO, and APEC. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Australia China Relations Institute and co-founder of the Social Cyber Institute.

His extensive experience in cyber policy and international security, particularly in the roles of China and Russia, makes him a highly respected voice.

Craig Jones

International Advisor

With over 4 decades in public service Craig has held key roles in UK and international law enforcement, coordinating national, regional and international responses to cybercrime.
 


From 2019 to 2024, he led INTERPOL Global Cybercrime Programme, under his leadership it delivered a step-change in the credibility and confidence between the organisations 196 member countries and partners.


He used strategic insights and innovative approaches, managing successful operations, projects and initiatives which disrupted cybercriminals and their infrastructure utilising both the public and private sector.
 


Craig now holds several senior advisory and board roles in prominent regional and global organisations, where he strives to foster international confidence and build trust in the cyber

Mark Manantan

Head of ASEAN

Mark Bryan Manantan is the Cybersecurity and Critical Technologies Director at the Pacific Forum in Honolulu, Hawaii. At the forum, he currently leads the US Technology and Security partnerships with Japan, Australia, Taiwan, and South Korea, as well as the Cyber ASEAN capacity-building project.

Mr. Manantan is a non-resident fellow at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, National Chengchi University, Taiwan, and formerly a research consultant at the Asia Society Policy Institute, Washington, DC. He has held visiting fellowships at the Japan Foundation, the Center for Rule-Making Strategies at Tama University in Tokyo, Japan, and the East-West Center in Washington, DC. Before that, he was a media, public relations, and advertising executive for Procter & Gamble, Wells Fargo, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, and UNICEF.

Mark Nuttall

Head of MENA

With over 25 years of experience in strategic leadership, risk management, and business development, Mark Nuttall has held senior roles at the Metropolitan Police Service, Thomson Reuters, INTERPOL, and Hill and Associates. He founded Faustus Consultancy, The Iron Club, and an Executive Advisory service, working across APAC, MENA, Europe, and LAC to drive growth, optimise operations, and enhance governance.

Mark’s expertise spans corporate strategy development, business expansion, risk mitigation, and governance enhancement. He has led multi-agency operations and collaborated internationally with INTERPOL and UNODC on complex investigations and security projects. Mark is also a subject matter expert in compliance, leadership, resilience, and ESG, regularly delivering keynote speeches and workshops to C-suite audiences.

In addition to his consultancy work, Mark serves as the Chair for the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (UAE), where he increased member engagement by 30%, and is CEO and Board Official of The Iron Club (UK).

Fernando Serto

Head of Latin America / Founder of CI-ISAC Brazil

Fernando Serto is a seasoned IT and security expert with 30 years of experience, formerly serving as Field CTO for Asia Pacific, Japan, and China, and now a CISO for a well-known organisation in the cybersecurity space in Brazil. Throughout his career, Fernando has gained vast experience in offensive security and a comprehensive understanding of offensive and defensive strategies. His expertise spans various technical fields, including Web Development, Unix, Networking, and Security, allowing him to adapt swiftly to changing technology landscapes.

Having worked extensively with top technology companies, Fernando is now focusing on leveraging his deep security insights to benefit end customers directly. He translates complex security challenges into actionable strategies, helping businesses protect their digital assets in today’s dynamic security environment. Fernando is passionate about developing and implementing comprehensive security plans that enable organisations to achieve their business objectives securely.

Serge Christiaans

Head of CI-ISAC Netherlands

With 18 years of cybersecurity and data privacy experience, Serge is a seasoned CISO who has served in key APAC cybersecurity roles. His expertise is rooted in his background as a veteran military pilot and his academic achievements, including a bachelor’s in business economics from the Royal Netherlands Military Academy and a master’s in cybersecurity from the University of West London.

Known for his leadership and mentorship, Serge brings a unique blend of cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and geopolitics.
